The
NEW STRATA infant car seat answers the health concerns of Parents
and Health professionals as a positive solution to the health and
safety of transporting newborn babies in the car and on a travel system.
Strata is the latest infant car seat from Jané, designed
for the complete well-being and comfort of your baby, especially
during the first few months, in which the baby's correct posture
is essentail for his development. During this first stage, the healthiest
position for your baby is lying down. After the third month approximately,
he can start sitting up. Strata, thanks to a new PATENTED system
by Jané, allows your baby to always be in the correct position.
It couldn't be easier.
STRATA
- IT GROWS WITH YOUR BABYOn lowering the backrest, the base of the
seat automatically rises, increasing the angle of the backrest up
to 125°. From around 4 months onwards, when raising the backrest,
the base of the seat returns to its original position obtaining
an angle of 110°. This system also adjusts the 5 point harness
to the correct position for your growing baby without the need to
undo and rethread the harness when your child grows. The Baby's
headrest area has double protection; thanks to the actual headrest
and the frame (made of recyclable, high resistance polypropylene).
The entire surface that comes into contact with the baby is protected
with shock absorbing material.
New
Revolutionary features: The incorporated 5-point harness allows
for a bigger fastening surface, and therefore provides a higher
level of safety when compared to the traditional 3 point harness
which is found on other infant car seats on the market.
PUBLICATIONS
ENDORSING JANÉ'S INITIATIVE.
Specialists
do not recommend prolonged use of infant restraint systems with
an angle of less than 110°. This could cause problems in lung
and respiratory development. This is shown by headlines such as
"Leaving a baby asleep in a car seat 'may cut off breathing'
", an article published by the DAILY MAIL in December 2006,
according to tests carried out by the renowned Paediatrician Professor
Alistair Gunn, researcher of Auckland Cot Monitoring Service of
Auckland University. Many articles published by the American Academy
of Paediatrics in the prestigious specialist magazine Paediatrics,
such as for example, "effects on infant restraint seats on
the cardio respiratory functions of newborns" (2002), also
support the initiative championed by Jané since the year
2000.
"Baby
car seat 'cot death' concern" says BBC News 8 Dec 2006. Babies
should not be left asleep in car seats unchecked because there is
a risk they will stop breathing, warn experts. Problems arise because
reflexes that keep the baby's head upright and their breathing normal
are still developing.
"Dangers
of baby sleeping in a seat" an article published by the Daily
Mail on 19 July 2007. Babies should not be left asleep in car seats
because of a higher risk of stopping breathing, experts warn today.
Children aged under one month old are particularly vulnerable when
seated, a study has found. The element of risk is higher because
the reflex to keep the head upright, allowing unimpeded breathing,
is still developing at this age, say scientists.
Strata & STRATA: JANÉS SOLUTIONS TO RISKS RAISED BY SPECIALISTS.The
huge increase in alerts and medical studies warning of the great
danger to infants, during the first months of life, of prolonged
use of child restraint systems with an angle less then 110°
endorses Jané's initiative manifested in 2000 in the Matrix
model: a fusion of the functions of a carrycot, where the baby is
fully reclined (180°), and those of an infant car seat (138°).
With this concept, Jané progressed to what is nowadays urged
from all fields of medicine to all manufacturing brands: to base
design on the health of the infant, to achieve better rest and to
improve lung development in newborns, as well as on the prevention
of injuries in case of an accident. Strata is the latest version,
a unique model, and in our 75th anniversary year we also see the
launch of a completely new infant car seat - the STRATA, which continues
the philosophy to base design on the health as well as safety of
the infant. They could only have been designed by Jané.
